Volumul bilingv (versiuni \u00een limbile rom\u00e2n\u0103 \u0219i englez\u0103), de 130 de pagini, bogat ilustrat color, reune\u0219te informa\u021bii noi cu privire la cercet\u0103rile \u0219i descoperirile de dat\u0103 recent\u0103 efectuate \u00een cadrul sitului antic Colonia Dacica Sarmizegetusa, considerat\u0103 prin tradi\u0163ie capitala provinciei Dacia.<\/p>\n Acest prim ora\u015f al provinciei \u00eentemeiate de romani la nord de Dun\u0103re \u00een 106 p. Chr. \u00ee\u0219i are originea simbolic\u0103 \u00een leg\u0103tur\u0103 cu fosta capitala a regatului dac, de unde preia \u0219i denumirea. Este unul dintre siturile emblematice pentru arheologia clasic\u0103 din Rom\u00e2nia, aici desf\u0103\u0219ur\u00e2ndu-se ample cercet\u0103ri de aproape un secol.<\/p>\n \u00cen ultimii ani, situl de la Ulpia Traiana Sarmizegetusa demonstreaz\u0103 un poten\u0163ial major pentru a deveni un vector al dezvolt\u0103rii durabile pentru \u00eentregul areal al \u0162\u0103rii Ha\u0163egului, beneficiind de o serie de proiecte de restaurare de anvergur\u0103 \u00een zona forului lui Traian \u0219i a capitoliului. Temele abordate \u00een expozi\u021bie vizeaz\u0103: proiectarea axial\u0103 a ora\u0219ului \u0219i a teritoriului apar\u021bin\u0103tor, rolul monumentelor publice \u0219i evolu\u021bia acestora, dar \u0219i dou\u0103 dintre componentele de baz\u0103 ale civiliza\u021biei romane, reflectate prin descoperirile din Colonia Dacica Sarmizegetusa <\/em>\u2013 iluminatul \u0219i aduc\u021biunea \u0219i drenarea apei.<\/p>\n Prin tradi\u0163ia \u00eendelungat\u0103 \u015fi anvergura cercet\u0103rii arheologice, precum \u015fi prin impactul rezultatelor \u00een mediul \u015ftiin\u0163ific na\u0163ional \u015fi interna\u0163ional, situl s-a impus ca unul dintre cele mai bine cunoscute pe plan european. Ca o consecin\u0163\u0103 fireasc\u0103, \u00een urm\u0103 cu peste un deceniu, situl a primit statut de sit prioritar din perspectiva Ministerului Culturii. Atrac\u0163ia acestui sit asupra publicului este una cu totul aparte, de vreme ce acesta este cel mai vizitat sit arheologic din Rom\u00e2nia. Explica\u0163ia acestui fapt rezid\u0103 at\u00e2t \u00een povestea dezv\u0103luit\u0103 de ora\u015ful antic, de pozi\u0163ia \u015fi semnifica\u0163ia sa aparte, precum \u015fi de mediatizarea constant\u0103 a rezultatelor arheologice majore din ultimii ani.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Under the aegis of the National History Museum of Romania was published the catalogue of the exhibition \u201eSarmizegetusa. The beginnings of Roman Dacia\u201d<\/em>. The bilingual volume (in Romanian and English), with 130 pages and an extensive colour illustration, provides new information abouth the recent excavations and discoveries made on the ancient site of C<\/em>olonia Dacica Sarmizegetusa<\/em>, traditionally considered the capital of the province of Dacia.<\/p>\n This first city of the province, founded by the Romans north of the Danube in AD 106, has its symbolic origin in connection with the former capital of the Dacian kingdom, after which it takes its name. It is one of the emblematic sites for the classical archeology in Romania, where ample research has been taking place for almost a century.<\/p>\n In recent years, the site from Ulpia Traiana Sarmizegetusa demonstrates a major potential for becoming a vector of sustainable development for the whole area of Hateg, benefiting from a series of large-scale restoration projects in the area of Trajan\u2019s Forum and the Capitol. There is also an ongoing project aimed at building a new site museum with an important digital component.<\/p>\n By organizing the exhibition \u201eSarmizegetusa. The beginnings of Roman Dacia\u201d<\/em>, the National History Museum of Romanian, in cooperation with the National History Museum of Transylvania and of the Museum of Dacian and Roman Civilization, brings to the attention of the public and specialists alike scientific data and artefacts of primary importance resulting from recent archaeological excavations undertaken in this valuable ancient city, the first Roman city founded in Dacia. The themes of the exhibition focus on: the axial design of the city and its territory, the role of the public monuments and their evolution, and also two of the basic components of the Roman civilization, reflected by the discoveries in the Colonia Dacia Sarmizegetusa \u2013 lighting and water supply and drainage.<\/p>\n Through its long tradition and the amplitude of the archaeological research, as well as the impact of results in the national and international scientific society, Ulpia Traiana Sarmizegetusa has become one of the best-known European sites. As a natural consequence, more than a decade ago, the site became a priority site from the perspective of the Ministry of Culture. The attraction of this site to the public is a very special one, since it is the most visited archaeological site in Romania.
